Platelet-Rich Plasma hair restoration /Vampire Facial

What is PRP ?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a highly effective cosmetic treatment that uses a patient’s own blood to rejuvenate the skin, reduce fine lines, improve elasticity, and promote hair growth. Platelet-Rich Plasma is blood plasma enriched with platelets, which are rich in growth factors that stimulate natural cell repair and regeneration for healthier, more youthful skin.

The Platelet-Rich Plasma Facial, commonly known as a vampire facial, involves drawing a small amount of blood from the patient, processing it in a centrifuge to isolate the platelets, and then carefully injecting the PRP into targeted areas of the skin. This innovative procedure can be combined with microneedling to further stimulate collagen production, enhance skin texture and tone, reduce scars, and improve overall skin appearance. It is a safe, minimally invasive, and natural approach to rejuvenation, tailored to individual needs.

Hair Restoration

Therapy can promote hair growth and improve hair density in individuals experiencing hair thinning or loss. The growth factors in Platelet-Rich Plasma stimulate hair follicles, promoting hair growth and prolonging the growth phase of the hair cycle. Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy is a safe and effective method especially for individuals with hereditary hair thinning or baldness. Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy is also advised after hair transplant procedurer.

The PRP facial process typically involves:
  1. Drawing a small amount of blood from the patient.
  2. Placing the blood in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from other blood components.
  3. Injecting the concentrated Platelet-Rich Plasma into the skin or scalp using a microneedling device or directly as a filler.

Your Platelet-Rich Plasma questions answered:

The entire PRP treatment process typically takes about 30 minutes to an hour. The first step involves collecting a small amount of your blood. Your face will then be thoroughly cleansed. The Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) will be applied to your skin using microneedling techniques. If you are sensitive, we can apply numbing cream before starting the treatment; however, I advise clients to undergo the procedure without numbing cream for optimal results. After the procedure, you should keep the plasma on your face for a minimum of 4 hours.

Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy is generally safe since it uses the patient's own blood. Some common side effects include mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site, which usually subside within a day or two.

Results from the therapy can vary, but most patients begin to notice improvements within a few weeks. The skin continues to improve over the following months as collagen production and cell regeneration increase.

The number of  treatments needed can vary depending on the individual's goals and the area being treated. Typically, a series of 3-4 treatments spaced 4  weeks apart is recommended for optimal results.

Therapy involves injections, so there may be some discomfort during the procedure. However, a topical anesthetic is often applied to minimize pain. Most patients find the procedure tolerable and experience only mild discomfort.

Good candidates for Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy are individuals seeking non-surgical options for skin rejuvenation or hair restoration. It is suitable for most skin types and can be an effective treatment for those looking to improve their appearance naturally.
