Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a process which works to permanently reduce hair growth in targeted areas. The treatment is carried targeting unwanted hair with lasers to damage or destroy the hair follicles, which ultimately prevents regrowth. At Daesthetics and Laser we are proudly offering the hair removal treatments to both, women and men to help them having a smooth and healthy, hair-free skin. The treatment is suitable for all hair types, except for white/blonde hair, and for all skin tones, except for very dark skin, as the laser may cause burns.

Our laser hair removal services utilize two advanced techniques: E-Light, which synergistically combines the power of IPL and RF, and SHR (Super Hair Removal), a broad-spectrum light-based method. SHR technology effectively targets multiple hair follicles simultaneously, enabling faster and more efficient treatment compared to traditional laser methods. Both techniques deliver exceptional results, ensuring client satisfaction.

Your hair removal questions answered:

To determine your suitability for laser hair removal treatment, we at Daesthetics and Laser conduct a thorough consultation process. During this appointment, we engage in a detailed discussion to understand your expectations, address any concerns you may have, and review your medical history. Additionally, we perform a patch test to ensure your skin’s compatibility with the laser. Following the consultation, we observe a minimum waiting period of 48 hours before commencing the first treatment session.

Laser hair removal is described as feeling like the flick of an elastic band, or it can be a little painful for some. However, as more of the hair follicles are destroyed, the treatment will become less painful. The level of pain experienced will vary depending on the areas being targeted and your individual sensitivity. Diana will always ensure you are comfortable and your treatment is always safe

Laser hair removal is approved to deliver permanent hair reduction of up to 90%. You can expect to see your best results after a course of 6-12, after which the hair will have reduced dramatically and the skin is silky-smooth. Some clients, however, may need top ups depending on their hormonal changes over time.

We recommend having at least 6 sessions per area to see permanent results. Depending on your hair type and goals, you may wish to have more or less. We also recommend having 1 or 2 maintenance sessions a year to maintain the results.

We generally recommend spacing sessions between 5 and 7 weeks apart, depending on the area and hair growth, but  the frequency of your treatments will be discussed at the consultation appointment in order to obtain optimum results. This is to ensure the hair follicles are targeted at the correct stage of their growth cycle.

No, it is not safe to get laser hair removal over a tattoo as it can potentially lead to burns, blisters or skin damage.

There are several things you should do to prepare for laser hair removal:

Avoid tanning including sunbathing, sunbeds and fake tan. If you are tanned you must leave at least 2 weeks before treatment.

Avoid waxing or plucking before treatment as this can change the hair growth cycle. Instead, shave using non-perfumed products 24 hours before your appointment, not on the same day.

Laser hair removal leaves the surrounding skin unharmed, however there are a few things you should do to prevent irritation and increase comfort:

Apply aloe vera gel for 2-3 days post treatment

Avoid sunlight or sun beds

Avoid hot baths, showers or saunas

It is crucial to avoid sunbathing and tanning beds throughout the entire course of laser treatments. A minimum of four weeks must have passed since your last sunbathing or tanning bed session. This rule also applies to any tanning creams, medications, or injections. Prior to your first session, we will schedule free consultation during which a patch test will be conducted. Please arrive at your consultation without makeup or fragrance.
