Fungal nail eradication

Fungal nail infections are very common, affecting up to 1 in every 10 of the UK population. Toenail and finger fungus is an infection underneath the surface of the nail caused by fungi. When the tiny organisms take hold, the nail often becomes darker in colour and smells foul. Debris may collect beneath the nail plate, white marks frequently appear on the nail plate, and the infection is capable of spreading to other toenails, the skin, or even the fingernails.

With our new medical licensed machine, we can now treat the infection at a medical depth that is more than a cosmetic level, meaning now we can fully eradicate this problem for our clients.

The fungal nail must be diagnosed by your GP first, without this in writing, the treatment cannot go ahead.

It is crucial to avoid sunbathing and tanning beds throughout the entire course of laser treatments. A minimum of four weeks must have passed since your last sunbathing or tanning bed session. This rule also applies to any tanning creams, medications, or injections. Prior to your first session, we will schedule free consultation during which a patch test will be conducted. Please arrive at your consultation without makeup or fragrance

The procedure is comfortable; though you can feel some heat in the nail as the laser needs to heat the fungus to damage it.

Treatment will require an initial free consultation and patch test, followed by usually 2-3 treatments on the affected nails, 4-6 weeks apart.

Results will show depending on how quickly your nails grow, as your nail gradually grows out, the fungus will grow out with it -this may take 6-12 months for the nail to grow fully out and the fungus removed with it.
