Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal Warrington

Laser hair removal in Warrington is an effective treatment designed to reduce unwanted hair safely and long-term. At D.Aesthetics and Laser, treatments are tailored to each individual using advanced medical-grade technology suitable for all skin types.

We use two professional laser systems, including a 4-wavelength laser and an Nd:YAG laser, allowing us to treat a wide range of skin tones safely and effectively. This makes the treatment suitable for both lighter and darker skin types, with a personalised approach for each client.

Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment within the hair follicle. The laser energy heats and damages the follicle, reducing its ability to regrow hair over time. Multiple sessions are required, as hair grows in different cycles.

Suitable for Everyone

Laser hair removal is suitable for:

• women and men
• transgender clients
• all skin tones (including darker skin types)
• areas affected by hormonal hair growth, including PCOS-related hair growth

Treatments are adapted depending on skin type, hair type and medical history to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Your hair removal questions answered:

To determine your suitability for laser hair removal treatment, we at Daesthetics and Laser conduct a thorough consultation process. During this appointment, we engage in a detailed discussion to understand your expectations, address any concerns you may have, and review your medical history. Additionally, we perform a patch test to ensure your skin’s compatibility with the laser. Following the consultation, we observe a minimum waiting period of 48 hours before commencing the first treatment session.

Laser hair removal is described as feeling like the flick of an elastic band, or it can be a little painful for some. However, as more of the hair follicles are destroyed, the treatment will become less painful. The level of pain experienced will vary depending on the areas being targeted and your individual sensitivity. Diana will always ensure you are comfortable and your treatment is always safe

Laser hair removal is approved to deliver permanent hair reduction of up to 90%. You can expect to see your best results after a course of 6-12, after which the hair will have reduced dramatically and the skin is silky-smooth. Some clients, however, may need top ups depending on their hormonal changes over time.

We recommend having at least 6 sessions per area to see permanent results. Depending on your hair type and goals, you may wish to have more or less. We also recommend having 1 or 2 maintenance sessions a year to maintain the results.

We generally recommend spacing sessions between 5 and 7 weeks apart, depending on the area and hair growth, but  the frequency of your treatments will be discussed at the consultation appointment in order to obtain optimum results. This is to ensure the hair follicles are targeted at the correct stage of their growth cycle.

No, it is not safe to get laser hair removal over a tattoo as it can potentially lead to burns, blisters or skin damage.

There are several things you should do to prepare for laser hair removal:

Avoid tanning including sunbathing, sunbeds and fake tan. If you are tanned you must leave at least 2 weeks before treatment.

Avoid waxing or plucking before treatment as this can change the hair growth cycle. Instead, shave using non-perfumed products 24 hours before your appointment, not on the same day.

Laser hair removal leaves the surrounding skin unharmed, however there are a few things you should do to prevent irritation and increase comfort:

Apply aloe vera gel for 2-3 days post treatment

Avoid sunlight or sun beds

Avoid hot baths, showers or saunas

It is crucial to avoid sunbathing and tanning beds throughout the entire course of laser treatments. A minimum of four weeks must have passed since your last sunbathing or tanning bed session. This rule also applies to any tanning creams, medications, or injections. Prior to your first session, we will schedule free consultation during which a patch test will be conducted. Please arrive at your consultation without makeup or fragrance.
