Laser Pigmentation and Birthmark Removal Warrington
Birthmark Removal with Laser Treatment
A birthmark is a coloured mark that is often present at birth or may develop shortly afterwards. Birthmarks appear on the skin and can vary in size, colour and location.
There are two main types of birthmarks:
Vascular type– usually red, pink or purple in colour, often found on the face, head or neck.
Pigmented type – usually brown or darker in colour and can appear anywhere on the body.
Laser treatment uses a focused beam of light to target the pigment or blood vessels within the birthmark while minimising impact on the surrounding skin.
The laser energy is absorbed by the colour within the birthmark, gradually breaking it down so the mark can fade over time. Several treatment sessions are usually required to achieve the best results.
Most treatments are quick and may take as little as 10–15 minutes depending on the size and location of the birthmark.
Laser treatmentis considered a precise and controlled treatment designed to improve the appearance of birthmarks while protecting the surrounding tissue.
Laser pigmentation removal Warrington
This is a safe and effective treatment designed to reduce the appearance of freckles, sun spots, age spots and other forms of pigmentation.
The treatment uses targeted laser energy to focus on the pigmented areas of the skin. The pigment absorbs the light energy, while the surrounding skin is largely unaffected.
The laser energy helps break down the excess pigment within the skin. Over time, the treated pigmentation may darken temporarily before gradually fading as the body naturally removes the pigment.
In some cases, the treated pigment may rise to the surface of the skin and form a light crust which naturally flakes away during the healing process. This helps reveal a clearer and more even-looking skin tone.
Several sessions may be required depending on the type, depth and size of the pigmentation being treated

Your birthmark reduction and laser pigmentation questions answered:
How do I prepare for appointment?
It is crucial to avoid sunbathing and tanning beds throughout the entire course of laser treatments. A minimum of four weeks must have passed since your last sunbathing or tanning bed session. This rule also applies to any tanning creams, medications, or injections. Prior to your first session, we will schedule free consultation during which a patch test will be conducted. Please arrive at your consultation without makeup or fragrance.
Does it hurt?
Patients may experience a mild stinging sensation, similar to a mild sunburn, in the treated region. This sensation typically resolves within four to six hours
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions required for birthmark removal may vary depending on the size and type of the birthmark. This will be discussed during the consultation appointment. Typically, a 90% removal rate can be expected.
What is the aftercare?
Moist cloths or cool packs may be applied to reduce the feeling. Mild inflammation in the treated site typically goes away after several days. The feeling is more benign after every day goes by. Avoid the use of lotion, makeup, deodorant, perfume, or any potential irritants to the treated site for either 24 hours or until all signs of stinging and redness have resolved.
